BitPay is in search of a talented Nodejs Developer to join our dynamic development team. As a key member, you’ll play an important role in crafting new products, driving innovation, and staying ahead of technological advancements. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the U. S. while contributing to our exciting projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop robust Nodejs applications for production use

• Address scalability, reliability, and logging challenges during development phases

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience

• Proficiency in server-side development with a strong focus on Nodejs

• Familiarity with blockchain technology and how it works

• A passion for building and working with blockchain technology

• Solid understanding of MongoDB

• Experience with version control systems, ideally Git

• Knowledge of asynchronous programming models

• Knowledge of Linux-based systems

• Passion for your craft, an insatiable drive for progress, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with a track record of impressive projects

Preferred:

• Experience working with EVM and/or UTXO blockchains

• Experience working in high-security development environments

• Passion for cryptocurrency as a payments system

• Proficiency in integrating frontend and backend systems via HTTP APIs, including rapid consumption of REST-based web services using JSON

• Proficiency with client-side technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, React, Vue, SolidJS, babel, webpack, etc.

• Background in Test Driven Development (TDD)
