Rocana is building one of the world’s first multi-vendor Hadoop software systems. We target our software across multiple operating systems, Hadoop distributions, and infrastructure footprints. Such a broad support matrix maks tooling and automation one of our top priorities as it enables not just our engineering team but also support, field services, and sales.

As a software engineer on our Developer Tools and Automation team you’ll work on systems that perform deployment and cloud provisioning in EC2 for both our software as well as our complex graph of ever growing supported platforms. In addition, we are also responsible for higher level development tools such as our test automation platform. On any given day, the tools you build could be used by an engineer to performance test a new change, by a support engineer to recreate a customer’s environment, or by an account executive to showcase pre-release features to a prospective customer.
