Medaxion is looking for strong Rails developers to further architect, design, and build the Rails back-end for our industry-leading anesthesia record-keeping app. Medaxion was founded in 2008, has experienced rapidgrowth in the past 3 years, and will be profitable in 2015. You’ll work closely with our Directors of Software Development and Quality, our CTO, CEO, and your fellow Rails and iOS developers, enabling Medaxion’s growth by adding and extending application features and by providing the infrastructure necessary to support more and larger customers. The Rails code base has been developed over the past few years by some of the best Rails developers in the land, so you won’t be cleaning up any messes.

And if you’re not squeamish, we’ll have you scrub up and spend a day with our anesthesiologists in their operating rooms, seeing how they use the software your team has written.

Medaxion’s HQ is in Nashville, TN; the small-but-mighty software development team has to date beenbased in the Durham-Chapel Hill area of North Carolina. In order to get the strong developers we need, we’re open to full-time remote work as long as you’re in the Central or Eastern time zones of the US and can travel to Chapel Hill a few times a year.
