Stella & Dot is looking for a Senior Rails Engineer to work closely with other local and global developers to build our next generation platform for a new brand. We’ve gone “greenfield” and are using this asan opportunity to build a service orientated architecture the right way. We’ll need to build quickly andsmart to deliver the project on time.

The perfect candidate would have great problem solving and communication skills and becomfortable with fast paced design, development and deployment in an agile environment. He/she worked extensively on web applications and used rails in high throughput production environments. Weare looking for smart, innovative thinkers to help us solve the complex challenges of building highperformance, high traffic ecommerce sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Building ecommerce and direct sales functionality in Ruby on Rails

• Working with cutting edge technologies: Ruby2.1, Redis, Memcache, RabbitMQ etc

• Designing, specifying and implementing services to decouple functionality

• Ensuring the robustness, performance and failure characteristics of the system.

• Working on fast iteration cycles and tight deadlines using an agile/scrum methodology

• Writing well tested, defect free code using Test Driven Development
