Responsibilities
- The overall goal of this position is to elevate the finance organization at Medal by taking initiative and working alongside the COO
- Work alongside Dutch Financial Controller to oversee company finances
- Working in Quickbooks for US transactions
- Working in Twinfield for Dutch transactions – with training and support from team
- Produce financial reports for investors and management that summarize key metrics for the business
- Using advanced excel skills for budgeting and forecasting
- Support in risk management by balancing strict accounting rules with business goals
- Quickly get up to speed on Dutch accounting rules (with training) and help navigate how they interact with US accounting rules
- Assess and adopt new finance tools for payments, cash management, etc.
Requirements
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Thorough understanding of financial accounting standards and reporting requirements
- Thorough US tax and regulatory knowledge
- High attention to detail
- Takes proactive initiative to advance the finance org and improve processes
- Enjoys video games, at least casually!
$100,000 – $160,000 a year
$130k to $160k for NYC
$100k to $130k for remote US
Equity compensation in addition to the above
Full-time, NYC-based preferred but remote is possible
