Led by an industry expert with deep product knowledge, Articheck is an angel-funded startup, with a SaaS offering for the art industry that automates the process of checking and recording the condition of artworks. The company is well established within the industry, and has significant traction with high profile museums, galleries and art shippers – we are set to dominate the market and become an industry standard.

We are looking for a Lead developer or a CTO who loves coding. The Articheck platform currently consists of backed services written in Python and Java, together with iOS and web (AngularJS) clients. The main responsibilities of the role would be:

• Taking ownership of the platform, developing the product and technical roadmap.

• Planning iterations and managing their scope to keep them on time and on budget.

• Choosing the right technologies and frameworks to allow the product to scale as the customer base and database of artwork condition reports grows

• Plenty of hands on coding of backend web services and web portal

• Building a team of developers and contractors around you

• Communicating with the board, clients and potential clients

At Articheck, we believe in a great work life balance. You’ll be working remotely, but need to be able to come into London for meetings as required. You’ll receive 5.6 weeks of holidays (including public and bank holidays). The compensation is an initial salary of £40,000 together with a significant equity stake in the company (3-6%). The salary will rise as company grows and goes through the next rounds of funding.
