Do you love rhetorical, grandiose, and/or bombastic opening hooks in job postings? Great! Are you a full stack engineer who wants to help shake-up the traditional role of software in healthcare delivery? Also great! Keep reading

We are looking for a versatile Angular/Rails engineer who is as eager and passionate as we are about:

  • creating user experiences that help doctors & nurses make the best decisions possible

  • re-imagining the way that the latest medical evidence gets incorporated into delivering care

  • reducing the large — and wasteful! — amount of time that clinicians spend on documenting what they’ve done

… OK, you may not be super-passionate about this right now, but you will be! (And once you see the way this is currently done, you’ll be left scratching your head or worse).

Dorsata’s core SaaS offering (an HTML5 AngularJS/Rails SPA) — along with it’s companion mobile apps (native iOS/Swift & Android) — cohesively (and ambitiously) address all three of the above, but more on that later.

A Little About Us

We’re a tiny-but-mighty team that just secured our first round of venture capital financing. As the newest member our growing product team, you’ll be an integral part of every aspect of our business strategy, dev roadmap, technology architecture decisions, and, undoubtedly, will wear a lot of hats.

Ones of these hats — besides your techie hat, of course! — will almost certainly include the Customer Hat. At Dorsata, we are fervent (read: rabidly obsessive) believers in frequent, high-touch interactions with our very involved, loyal customer base, who drives our roadmap. Fair warning: this isn’t lip service to a trendy notion….you’re going to be on a first name basis with many of our customers ;).

Another hat you be wearing is your Design (Thinking) Hat. User/Job stories are only as good as the questions/assumptions you asked/made to get them — that’s where Design Thinking comes in. It is an integral part of how we manage product/process/projects. You’ll need to be able investigate with both known and ambiguous aspects of a given Story/Goal in order to discover hidden parameters and open alternative paths which may lead to the “real” Story/Goal.

Bonus: all of the above hats coordinate very nicely with the Mr. Rogers-style sweaters that are currently in style (you’re welcome, neighbor!).
