Reporting directly to the leadership team (CEO / VP Product), the Design Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of design within TW, including UX/UI, brand identity, and marketing design. This role involves leading a team of designers, supervising the design process to guarantee that the final product aligns with user needs and the product’s objectives. The Design Lead will manage a team of up to three designers.

Job Description

– Develop and establish the design vision and strategy for TW, aligning with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
– Lead the design of TW’s products and **execute** a product design strategy that supports the company’s product roadmap and objectives.
– Lead, mentor, and grow a team of designers, setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
– Champion user-centered design principles and best practices throughout the organisation, ensuring that all design decisions are made with the end-user in mind.
– Conduct industry research and benchmarking, staying up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the web3, fintech, and design industries.
– Oversee the entire design process for TW, **from concept to execution**, ensuring that all design deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to define requirements, set priorities, and establish project timelines.
– Use data and analytics to measure the impact of design decisions, iterating and optimising based on user feedback, engagement metrics, and business goals.
– Create compelling and persuasive presentations to communicate design concepts, strategies, and solutions to internal stakeholders and external partners.
– Act as a Trust Wallet brand ambassador, promoting the company’s design philosophy and achievements through conferences, workshops, articles, and social media.

Qualifications

– Extremely user-focused mindset
– 5+ years full-time Product Designer experience & 2 years + team leading experience
– 3+ years full-time experience of designing consumer-facing experiences for web and mobile apps
– Knowledgeable and interested in Web3 space
– Collaborative and open minded
– Ability to create thoughtful UI and UX and written communication to both frame and explain concepts
– Demonstrated interest in open and community-driven platforms
– Thrive in uncertainty and challenges: proactive, hands-on, self-starter and perseverant
– Strong communication in oral and written English
– Strong values, ethics and integrity
– Strong intellectual curiosity and honesty, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
