About The Job
As an ecommerce developer at Electric Pulp, you will be integral to the success of the project, working with our project managers and front-end developers to implement the underlying server-side functionality of our projects. Typical projects involve working with platforms like Magento, Laravel, WordPress, and WooCommerce. In addition to developing functional modules, you will optimize performance of the server-side components of the project.
While coding is the core function of this role, there are a few other things that we’ll be looking for:

This position is available now, and is already loaded with work, so you’ll need to hit the ground running. As a result, it’d be best if you had some serious chops when you walk through the door on the first day. Skills and experience required are as follows:
2+ years PHP development experience
Experience with MVC frameworks and concepts
Experiencedeveloping for Magento (esp. custom extensions and Magento Enterprise Edition). Magento certification preferred, but not required.
Experience integrating ecommerce platforms with third-party systems
Experience with server configuration (esp. Apache and nginx)
Experience with server-side caching tools (esp. Memcache and Varnish)
Proficiency with version control tools (preferably git)
Proficiency with HTML5 & CSS2/3, JavaScript (esp. jQuery)
Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress)
