Technical User Experience and API Developer

MapLarge provides Big Data Analytics and Visualization to make us safer, more productive, and more efficient. The Maplarge API provides real time geospatial analytics for over 15 billion location events per day and trillions of historical events. Analysts using our geospatial visualization capability can instantly visualize and publish for data discovery and model testing on any desktop, mobile or tablet device. All of our UI components are re-usable, data driven, event driven, API powered (client and server side), scriptable, re-configrable, savable, deep linkable, sharable etc. We also have editor components, and data visualization wizards that allow non technical users to import, automatically visualize data patterns (with sensible defaults that “just work”), and also re-configure more advanced detailed settings with “what you see is what you get” style editors.

Who We Need: We are looking for developer to help with technically oriented UI component and API design for user & developer experience. The person should be a top notch c# and javascript programmer who is passionate about both how UI is used, but also about how the APIs, ontology, data structures, documentation, and examples come together to make both the UI components and technical APIs a pleasure for both users and developers.

Typical Tasks: Typical Tasks may include helping to wire-frame user interfaces, creating specs for the public facing APIs that drive them, doing deep dive code reviews with developers, and leading the effort to present amazing documentation and examples that show off the API in a intuitive, compelling and fun to read way.
