The Web Developer designs, constructs, supports and documents custom websites. The Web Developer participates in all phases of the SDLC (software development lifecycle) in a highly collaborative, crossfunctional team. The Web Developer ensures that the products created by the team meet the customers’ needs and contribute to the organization’s goals.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced
Develop, test, document, and implement high quality websites on time that perform according to specifications and requirements documents
Analyze performance of websites and takes action to correct deficiencies
Develop and adhere to development standards that allows for the maintainability of code in a manner that supports team development
Provide a minimum of weekly status report updates for current projects
Participate in the development, deployment and support of a variety of websites that use various technologies including Microsoft . NET tools and MS-SQL databases
Provide the troubleshooting and resolution of 3rd tier support issues
Participate in all SDLC phases including architecture specifications and design; website configuration; database design; programming; quality assurance; testing and implementation; and ongoing maintenance and support
Work with IT counterparts and management team to employ analysis and design techniques including case analysis, object modeling and database/website schema design to ensure business goals
Participate in the development and implementation of new business processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity
Provide research and recommendations for new approaches for software development technology
Participate in the modification and architecture of websites to resolve issues and plan for future growth
Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others
