As one of the first full-time hires – and the first non-founder engineer – you’ll be a core member of the founding team. You could be someone who wants to remain an individual contributor or someone who wants to grow and manage an engineering team. We’re open to both.

Your primary initial task will be building out the Galore Android app, but we’ll also ask for your help supporting ouriPhone product (which is currently launched/live). As such, the ideal candidate will be able to work with both android and objective-c/swift – although we’ll make an exception for anyone who’s exceptionally talented ineitherenvironment andopen to learning the other.

Speaking more generally, your role will be to build and support a marketplace that connects parents with teachers, coaches, performers and other providers of activities, camps and classes. You’ll work closely with our product team to find the sweet spot between customer development, design and code. You’ll also help set the company’s overall technical direction. The ideal candidate is someone who values code simplicity, readability and reliability, but who also realizes that successful software is more than just a passing test it’s a happycustomer!

The Galore founding team is based in SF, but we’re open to making this a remote position. If you’re not located in the Bay Area, we’d establish clear and open lines of communication. We use Slack, so this should be easy, and we’d need to spend at least one week per quarter working together in person.

Though we’re well-funded, we’re scrappy and very intentional about the way we spend money. We expect you to value equity and that you’ll make millions of dollars if and when Galore reaches a liquidity event. Also, take comfort in the fact that our funding gives us a very long runway to seize this opportunity, and we’ll increase cash comp as our revenue grows.
