DEG, a Magento Gold Partner, is seeking a Magento Engineer with experience implementing solutions with Magento for a full-time position leading eCommerce project development for a diverse group of interesting companies. Applicants must have at least 3-5 years demonstrated experience building database-driven web-based applications. In addition to some level of relevant technology domain expertise, this individual must have basic project management skills and be able to contribute meaningfully to client meetings, deliverables and proposals.

Responsibilities
The Magento Engineer is responsible for implementing the project from design and functional specifications. Depending on the project, this may include the following responsibilities:
Implements business logic and integration services as defined by the client and BA
Implements data access layer, database model and logic
May implement interface layout and behavior
Performs unit testing, both automated and manual, of business logic and behavior to confirm proper implementation of requirements and quality execution
Documents work
Estimates development tasks during discovery, scoping, planning and development stages
Communicates technical dependencies, blocks and risks to project stakeholders and management
Interacts with clients and project leads to provide technical direction and recommendations
Collaborates with senior engineers and project leads on technical decisions
Implements front-end layout and behavior with HTML, JavaScript and CSS
Learns and adheres to company coding standards and conventions
Database design, implementation and query development
Provides valuable written feedback on peers and evaluation of team performance
Follows project level design decisions and conventions
Manages time effectively to meet deadlines and commitments
May configure and deploy projects to various hosting environments for review
Provides exploratory and budget estimates as well as feasibility assessments
May perform basic server administration and configuration of development and hosting environments
