Applause is looking for Mobile & Web App Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) to support our Automation Solution built on open-source technologies including Appium, Selenium, TestNG, Eclipse IDE and core Java. Our primary focus is mobile automation using core Java and Appium.

SDETs write the abstraction layer and test automation scripts with Core Java. They review test cases and ensure they can be automated. SDETs correct script errors, revise scripts as necessary and automate new scenarios.

Responsibilities & day-to-day activities:

• Automate existing manual test cases using core Java for automation scripting

• Design, develop and extend automation tools & libraries

• Perform root cause analysis for issues uncovered by test results

• Perform peer code reviews of automated tests

• Provide technical feedback to product management and development
