• Design, develop, improve, and maintain scalable, maintainable, user-facing functionality.
• Participate in ongoing design, implementation, and maintenance of systems across our cloud stack, from frontend to backend and everything in-between.
• Research and implement modern frameworks and technologies for front-end systems.
• Mentor and lead technical direction for the cloud development team.

Requirements

• Demonstrated excellence in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS web development.
• Previous experience designing, implementing, extending, and maintaining Web Service APIs.
• NoSQL database development, including data model design and query performance tuning and indexing.
• Experience using common modern JavaScript frameworks, such as jQuery, AngularJS, Node. JS, Backbone, Ember, Spine, or react.
• Object Oriented design experience, including familiarity with Design Patterns.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools.
• 5+ years professional Software Engineering experience.
• Familiarity with Version Control Systems (Git, SVN, Perforce, Mercurial, etc.).
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Experience working with Linux on the command-line.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Bonus Points

• Previous experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, ELB, Route53, CloudWatch, Glacier, etc.).
• User interaction design experience.
• Previous experience using Git.
• Experience writing and maintaining shell scripts.
• Historical presence in the open-source community (GitHub, StackOverflow, ServerFault, mongodb-user, etc.).
