The Role: Zoomer is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work alongside some of the smartest people in our organization to extend and evolve our routing systems. This position is primarily focused on the development of our automated dispatch system, Zorro. Zorro is responsible for maintaining restaurant happiness, keeping drivers busy, fairly allocating work across the drivers in a territory and ensuring high service levels and fast deliveries. You will also be involved in scaling and developing our dispatch infrastructure, ensuring that it stays fast and reliable as our business continues to grow. Our ideal candidate has an interest or experience in mathematics and complex algorithms and is enthusiastic about writing production-ready code. A specific background in VRP or operations research is not necessary, but knowledge of these areas is a plus.
