SpiderOak is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and driven PhoneGap app specialist to join theSpiderOak team. Semaphoris a next-gen Zero-Knowledge real-time team collaboration tool. It’s from the company that in 2014 was endorsed by Edward Snowden, and we’ve already had a lot of positive attention from both customers and the press with this new product.

You’ll be focusing on helping build out the user interface of the product, implementing useful and delightful UI from our design group, and figuring out how to make all the elements of the system work best for the user’s benefit.Working here, you’ll get to work with some of the most cutting edge JavaScript and mobile technologies, with a stack using React on the front end to draw engaging user interfaces, Go to drive powerful encryption technologies, and Electron and PhoneGap to tie it all together.

You’ll be getting projects from your team lead, and have a lot of latitude in creating the right solution to the problem. We’re a global team, and we make heavy use of our tools to keep flowing and working with each other, making heavy use of git, Semaphor itself, wiki, videoconf, and our issue tracker to communicate and understand what each other is doing. We enjoy working with remote workers who are remote because they happen to like where they live, but not people working remote to avoid interacting with other humans. Note that this position is all remote, so work from where you are!
