At Recordsure we pride ourselves on the professionalism of our development, using modern practices and tools as appropriate to enable us to build the things we need.

Agile practices are our norm, organising ourselves on Jira, Confluence and GitHub, whilst keeping in constant contact with one-another on Skype.

As developers we love creating, discussing and collaborating on delivering innovative products and support each other in our individual learnings and group challenges to achieve this.

How you work

You will work remotely for us from wherever your home happens to be, and we will do everything possible to make you feel part of the team including a trip to London once or twice a year.

You will be expected to work 8 hours per weekday. To ensure effective communication with the rest of the team, and also to take part in required agile ceremonies and meetings, your working day must include the hours 10:00 to 14:00 GMT, including during British Summer Time.

Your first and future projects

You will be working on enhancements (new features, and yes, bug fixes) to Recordsure Capture: a unique solution for recording the audio for face-to-face interviews using an iPhone or an iPad.

Depending on when you join, your initial project is likely either to be revamping the existing Recordsure Capture application’s UI to align it closely with the current business/marketing theme or start with fixing a couple of hard to trace outstanding issues.

Once that is done, there will be a host of other development work to upgrade the application to the latest Swift code from Objective C and Swift 2.0, integration of a new HTML form system and dynamic interaction between iOS and Javascript, implementing the latest OPUS codec for audio compression.

We’ll then also need your expertise and research on how feasible it might be to provide the product as an iOS embedded library/API/plugin to third party apps, to screen record, to real-time stream audio out over WebRTP, to hook in a camera recording feed, to integrate continuous build with our CI systems, to fork Skype audio into the app, to integrate with 3rd-party MDMs, to deploy to the App store once, but use custom configurations per organisation or user, etc. … the list goes on.

And of course, you are going to have to ensure that the App is solid for every iOS major and minor release, preferably before each public iOS build is released.
