Job summary:
Reviews, analyzes, modifies, creates, publishes, assists in design of and tests web content using web content management systems and tools. Provides key insight in design and participates in content design and site architecture discussions. Required to maintain continuing education on the ever-changing web standards. Is a key player on a multidisciplinary team and will engage in all aspects of the application development life cycle as needed for each project to be successful. Works directly with the business to ensure the project is meeting the business needs. Is expected to be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.
Typically reports to a project leader, manager or director.
Major duties and responsibilities:
*Responsible for maintaining security for employee intranet access. Processes requests from authorized personnel to grant, suspend and terminate access roles to the intranet. Maintains listing of all security administrators and users with authoring access.
*Enforces systemwide web policies. Manages and creates complex content and style of website, ensuring a consistent, quality presence on the web.
*Develops website content and design with a goal of motivating users to utilize it as a major source for information and decision-making.
*Assists in updates and changes to website, including content development, ensuring standards for timeliness and quality are met. Responsible for maintaining accuracy and timeliness of website information.
*Develops and implements strategies and design for intranet in order to maximize value to employees. Manages style of website, working collaboratively with departmental web creators to maintain consistency of style and quality of information. Develops content for corporate areas of intranet.
*Uses graphic and technology skills to design and produce new pages for the website. Serves as a resource in webpage creation. Ensures adherence to graphics and usability standards, editorial standards and web standards at all times.
*Provides help desk and other technical reference services to all users of the website. Trains and mentors business users of the Content Management tools.
*Executes multiple projects effectively. Keeps accurate documentation of activities and projects.
*Communicates clearly to express thoughts and ideas.
*Works collaboratively and appropriately communicates with superiors and staff. Maintains departmental service standards.
Maintains the confidentiality of information coming into and being disseminated from the department. Respects the privacy of individual colleagues within the department, and expects the same in return.

Education and/or experience:
Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in computer science required.
In lieu of a degree, five years of demonstrated professional success in the area of web content management and two years of content development using the specific team technology stack may be considered equivalent to the educational requirement.
Minimum of two to four years of professional experience in web content management required.
Requires a good understanding with at least two years of professional experience in web design patterns.
General knowledge of modern programming concepts, including usability, modular design, style sheets, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
General knowledge of modern testing practices, including regression, automated and load testing.
General knowledge of modern program design approaches, including UML, use cases and user stories.
Experience in healthcare or health payer systems is a plus.
Sitecore experience highly preferred.
If a suitably experienced candidate cannot be found, applicants who meet the basic qualifications but possess fewer years of experience will be considered for hire at a lower level.Salary would be commensurate with experience.
Working conditions/physical demands:
Remote work or work from an alternate Geisinger location may be an option after introductory period. Occasional travel to main office may still be required. Mostly sedentary work interacting with computers and people. Requires ability to perform visual inspection and lifting less than 10 pounds.
