Broadsheet Media is a digital publisher in Australia looking for an experienced frontendy full-stack developer with a passion for great web development to join the team.
You’ll be responsible for the ongoing development of Broadsheet, with the opportunity to be involved in the full process, all the way from initial product and feature planning through to production and potential to own and guide a large part of the codebase.
You need to be happy taking guidance, with a collaborative mindset and open nature, but be able to work independently the majority of the time. You’ll report to the Broadsheet Media Technical Director.
We work with a range of tools, familiarity with SASS, React, Python, Django, Nodejs, etc. are a plus but above all we want to meet people who are enthusiastic about software development and are excited to be involved in the development of an established market leader in digital publishing
What you know
- How to debug complex issues across a production web stack
- Responsive web development with modern Javascript frameworks
- Strong understanding of fundamental principles of web development, algorithms and data structures
- Distributed version control (we use Git)
Bonus points for
- Experience working with React, Redux, Webpack, etc.
- Some experience with Node, Python or Go
- An in-depth understanding of HTTP and REST APIs, TCP/IP, etc.
