Led by an industry expert with deep product knowledge, Articheck is an angel-funded startup, with a SaaS offering for the art industry that automates the process of checking and recording the condition of artworks. The company is well established within the industry, and has significant traction with high profile museums, galleries and art shippers. We are set to dominate the market and become an industry standard.
We are looking for a senior developer with startup experience. The Articheck platform currently consists of a Django site, together with an iOS client. The main responsibilities of the role would be:
Choosing the right technologies and frameworks to allow the product to scale as the customer base and database of artwork condition reports grows Plenty of hands-on coding of backend web services and new features Working with CTO to meet the IT needs of a growing company
The ideal candidate would have the following:
- Expertise in server side development in Python/Django
- Experience across the full stack
- Linux server administration and Amazon AWS experience
- Proven track record of having lead roles designing and developing web-based applications
- Belief in the importance of writing clean, readable and maintainable code
- A self-starter who is comfortable working remotely
- A confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Great command of the English language
- Experience working for a startup company
At Articheck, we believe in a great work life balance. We are based in London but will consider applicants in other nearby time zones (ie, EST). The salary range is £45,000 – £65,000, depending on experience and equity package selected.
