Overview

We are building a mobile product that allows students at universities to better engage with their schools. We’re looking for a leader and full stack engineer with deep experience with JavaScript Frameworks and data integration. Our platform is powered by React, React Native, MongoDB, and Elastic Search. We’re looking for someone to serve as the leader and cornerstone of our development team.

The role will provide leadership on:roadmap, project & portfolio management, engineering processes, staff recruitment, and development. In addition, the director would act as the overarching product architect and would be a full stack engineer as well.

– You’re an experienced full-stack developer who prefers to focus on the back-end and middle-tier of applications.

• You enjoy wearing the hat of Application Architect who recommends new technologies while accurately accessing the impact of changes to the overall solution.

– You’ve built applications with progressive JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Node, React, React Native) to build and maintain world-class cross-platform applications.

• You are comfortable working with a NoSQL back-end (MongoDB, Elastic Search).

• You thoroughly enjoy integrating disparate data sources through several methodologies including APIs, secure flat file exchange and ETL.

– You are comfortable managing the deployment and hosting of JavaScript applications on Amazon WebServices.

• You appreciate well-oiled DevOps including GitHub code repository management, release management and continuous integration.

• You have solid experience working within the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

• You appreciate the Agile Scrum framework and have served as a productive member of one or more Scrum teams.
