Trinity Mobile Networks is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our core team. A successful candidate will design configuration of software deployment and communication and provide valuable input to system architecture. In addition, the candidatewill be responsible for maintaining the servers and machines running our software, as well as setting up new ones. Our products and their reach are rapidly growing, so a successful candidate should be flexible, innovative, and dedicated. A successful candidate will play an integral role in shaping the company product and practices, and ultimately be responsible for packaging the product delivered to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop Trinity’s internal infrastructure for collaboration, development, testing, and monitoring

  • Support the development team with automation, tooling, and documentation

  • Share on-call responsibilities

  • Advise and assist customers with the installation, integration, and scaling of our platform

Skills & Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Linux systems administration, in traditional datacenters as well as public and private clouds

  • Proficiency in Python and Bourne-compatible shell-scripting

  • Experience in CI/CD automation such as GitLab CI and Jenkins

  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as OpenStack, VMware, and Xen

  • Experience with tools for configuration management (e.g., Salt, Ansible) and orchestration (Terraform, Heat)

  • Familiarity with IP networking, especially in virtualized environments

Preferred Experience

  • Experience administering distributed datastores (e.g., Cassandra)and service-discovery facilities (e.g., Consul)

  • Proficiency in one or more of C, C++, and Java

  • Hands-on experience with OpenStack environments using OpenvSwitch–, VLAN–, and VXLAN–based tenant networking

  • Deep knowledge of IP switching and routing, including customprotocols, dual-stacking, and IPv6 transitional techniques

  • Experience with routing protocols and techniques such as BGP,VRRP, and anycasting

  • Experience reviewing and producing technical documentation anddiagrams

  • Past work in an ISP, NSP/datacenter, and/or telecommunicationscontext

Preference will be given to candidates based in,or willing to relocate to, the US Northeast, especially New York,Connecticut, and Massachusetts. Candidates with prior remoteexperience will be considered for remote work. Posted salary could vary depending on experience and location.
