We are looking for a Web Developer to join our team!
You will be responsible for translating design direction provided by a Creative or Art Director into a visually compelling layout for new and existing print, digital and video products for Miles’ customers.
This is a full-time position, based on our Sarasota, FL office (will consider a remote employee as well).
Summary/Objective: Responsible for coding and modifying creative-, data-, and measurement-driven websites, from layout to function and according to Miles Partnership’s client’s specifications.
Essential Duties:
Writes well designed, testable, efficient code by using best Drupal development practices
Creates website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
Integrates data from various back-end services and databases
Develops and contributes to project plans including estimates, scopes, approaches, schedules and expectations
Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies/industry trends and applies them
Works with other team members to resolve technical and design issues

Work skills and Qualifications:
5+ recent years of experience developing modern websites and applications
Proficient in PHP, CSS, jQuery, SASS, Drupal 7 and Drupal 8
Proficient with the git version control system
Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
Demonstrates aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
Able to manage own workflow while coordinating with project teams and management on schedules, requirements, goals, and assignments as needed
Willing to take direction if and when needed, but also work independently
Able to respond positively to client and peer criticism and feedback
Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
Able to effectively manage relationships, both internally and externally
Displays a dependable, strong work ethic
Able to work in a fast-paced, professional office environment
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional inter- or intra-state travel required, sometimes requiring an overnight stay
