What you’ll be working on

The Core Framework comprises software that supports GeoPhy’s data infrastructure. We handle data ingestion, management, and inference, as well as deliver that data to the rest of the business. Our architecture is built around Kafka, graph databases, and Microservices; we develop mostly with Scala and Java.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software components of GeoPhy’s data platform

• Manage your own as well as the team’s priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

What we’re looking for

• BS/MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

• Development experience in Java or Scala across the entire software life cycle

• Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English

• Willingness to work with Agile methodologies

• Passion for writing high quality, rock-solid software, including test automation (unit/integration)

Get bonus points if you have experience with,

• Distributed systems

• Streaming data

• Graph databases

• Semantic Web (RDF, SPARQL, OWL)
