MoveGB helps people discover new ways to get active, and makes it easy to book and attend. Our members get access to hundreds of well-known activity providers – gym, swim, climbing, squash, yoga and so on. Think Airbnb / eBay for fitness.

We’re re-building much of the front end of our product in react & react native to increase the level of quality and consistency across platforms.

We currently have a few positions open for mid to senior level engineers with at least one commercial react / react native project under their belt. You’ll need:

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Demonstrable commercial experience of react / react native
• A passion for writing high quality code
• To enjoy working with product people, designers, QAs and other developers
• The desire to learn, and to help those around you learn

Our team currently includes three experienced product managers with technical backgrounds and strong track records, six developers, a UX designer, visual designer and a part time QA. We’re planning to hire another 6 or 7 developers during 2018.

Stack outlook:

Mobile: ionic –> react native Backend: perl –> node, typescript API: Rest –> GraphQL Infrastructure: AWS.ELB, EC2, RDS (MySQL), CodeDeploy. Moving towards ECS, Lambdas and Kinesis.

Short-term contracts considered.

We’re based in Bath, UK and some face time at the beginning would be great to get to know each other. After that you can work from wherever, as long as you have the legal right to work for a UK company 🙂
