Social Scavenger (https://www.socialscavenger.com) is the mobile engagement platform. With customers like Red Bull, Nasa and Disney, Social Scavenger helps people across the world connect with brands, companies and organizations they love. To fuel our continued growth, we’re extending our platform offering with a new product and need to find someone to lead the development. You will be part of creation through to going to market for a brand new Web app. You will be working with other members of the team as is necessary and will have the support needed from a UI/UX, planning and development perspective. Social Scavenger is headquartered in Toronto, Canada with team members in Canada, Brazil, India, Ukraine, Indonesia and the United States. We are a global company servicing a global customer base. We are looking for someone who treats building software products as their craft. We’re focused on quality over quantity and inherently believe less is more. We respect you as an individual and care about the results not where or when you achieve them. You’ll be building a React Single Page App that interfaces with a Serverless API. The API will be powered by AWS Lambda and Nodejs or Go based on your preference. Requirements
- Strong communicator in English
- Exceptional human
- 5+ years experience as a software developer or be a prodigy
- React and Nodejs is a must
- Lambda, Go and Serverless is a bonus
- Understand the value of automated testing and how to apply it
- As comfortable and excited building user interfaces as APIs
- Excited to learn about datastores like Firestore
- Comfortable with agile philosophies and able to work in Sprints or Kanban Benefits
