OCN are a small, but growing team of business leaders, researchers, medical practitioners and designers who are working on a pioneering project in integrative medicine. In response to the rapidly growing disease in the western world, there is growing evidence to suggest that the modern medical approach of focusing on treating symptoms, not causes, is failing us.

An integrative medicine approach, otherwise known as functional medicine, has been making groundbreaking results in this space and is picking up momentum and funding throughout the world. As the industry is in the early growth phases it has not yet taken advantage of the best that technology can offer when engaging with its audience.

Our solution will deliver guided and personalised treatment plans, based on personal health data, testing and medical facts. We want to educate and empower people to take control of their lives and their health.

OCN is a London-based medical tech start-up, but our team is remote. We collaborate during UK office hours, using Slack, Trello, and Skype, so you don’t need to be locked to your computer 9 ‘til 5.

To remain productive and efficient we need experienced, self-motivated, accountable and communicative people to work with.

We are looking for a freelance developer with a broad understanding and experience of web technologies, to help us rapidly create and build the MVP and beyond. This is an exciting but complex problem space that will require much research, design, and iteration… So you need to be good at collaborating and fast.

It would be an added bonus if you have an interest in nutrition, health and fitness, quantified self, lifestyle hacking etc.

Role requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience building digital products
• Awesome at coding (JS, TypeScript, Node etc)
• Experienced with Ionic & Firebase
• Proven history with excellent work examples and references
• Fluent in English
