Full Stack Developer (Remote or Onsite)
We’re looking for someone to
Build our web based products at pi-top, to help change the face ofSTEAMeducation.
Work closely with our product managers, finding technical solutions to help tackle the problems faced by educators implementing computer science andSTEAMbased curriculums in their classroom.
Work with our pedagogy and content team to find the most effective and accessible ways to deliver a greatSTEAMeducation to all learners.
Projects you’ll likely be contributing to
pi-topCLASSROOM, our tool for educators to deliver physical computing and project based learning curriculums to their students using pi-top.
Our API for storing and delivering educational content and user’s progress data to hundreds of thousands of pi-tops all around the world.
Our microservices that help the business keep running, from helping our marketing and customer support team connect with our community, to supporting our logistics team deliver pi-tops to education institutes and makers the world over.
Developing new green-field projects and prototypes and experimenting with new technologies
REQUIREMENTS
Skills we’re after
Expert knowledge of JavaScript.
In-depth experience with Nodejs
Experience building user interfaces with React, or another client-side framework.
StrongHTML/CSS skills, and knowledge of cross-browser quirks.
Familiarity with Flux application architecture, and experience using one of its implementations.
Attention to detail in creating great experiences for our users.
A passion for great quality, well-tested code.
Knowledge ofRESTbest practices.
Familiarity with node and express.
Experienced in working with Git.
