And we’re good at it: Google and Apple have listed us as one of their Apps of the Year numerous times—and we are consistently ranked amongst the highest-grossing apps in both Google Play and the App Store. In partnership with Garmin we’ve started the first steps of our journey in the Garmin app store with the Komoot Garmin IQ app. To help us unleash the potential of running the Komoot experience on Garmin devices, we’re looking for an ambitious Garmin IQ developer to join our team.
Your key responsibilities
Take over the responsibility of all parts of the Komoot Garmin IQ app
Develop innovative new features in collaboration with our team of designers, copywriters, product experts
Optimize the core functionality of the app

You’ll work on challenging tasks on the newest Garmin devices and software which you’ll have early access to
You’ll work closely with the Garmin IQ core developers and can influence the platform development with your feedback
You’ll be developing in fast cycles and releasing frequently with a continuous build, testing and direct team feedback
Your expert knowledge will make you a key player amongst a team of highly motivated, talented people
You’ll travel together with our team to amazing outdoor places several times a year to exchange ideas, learnings and go for hikes and rides
You’ll build and improve a service that we’re pretty sure you’ll end up using for your personal outdoor trips
You will be successful in this position if you
Are highly self-driven, responsible and keen to improve
Love to use and develop awesome software products for a great user experience
Know the possibilities and limits for smart devices in outdoor use cases
Have proven experience in developing Garmin IQ apps
Are keen on developing for other wearable platforms like tizen
Write code that’s readable, well documented and is meaningfully tested
Have a passion for building software, demonstrated through interesting side projects, open source contributions or other involvement in the tech community
Have experience in working in a distributed team, have good communication skills and love to work together with others in fast development cycles
