Designing backend code that delivers breakthrough functionality, reliability, and performance
Designing backend code that leverages leading-edge cloud technologies
Exploring and applying machine-learning solutions in data science
Backing up your designs with effective and thorough unit tests
Integrating your microservices with frontend web applications and media partner services
Leveraging the open-source community to craft elegant code
The SDVI Backend Tech Stack:
Python 3, Flask, SQLAlchemy
Microservice architecture communicating via REST APIs
Docker, Nginx, Postgresql
Primarily Linux-based applications running on Amazon Web Services
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. CS, CpE, EE, or equivalent preferred
Minimum of five years programming experience
Good working knowledge of Python, REST APIs, microservice architectures, cloud-based applications
Strong design and analytical skills
Organized, thorough, and detail oriented, with impeccable follow-through
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work remotely both independently, and as part of a team using Slack, Trello, and Zoom
Very Cherished Skills:
Python Ninja
Experience with machine learning applications in data science
Complex systems design experience
Experience working with relational databases
Familiarity with professional media formats and workflows
