Job Summary
You will be responsible for successful execution and delivery of technical aspects of enterprise-level software. You will work closely with the Head of Product and Lead Designer to ensure technological and operational components are delivered on schedule and on budget. You will be the first hire of the technical team and initially will work with freelancers of your choice to get things done. Along with the growth of the company, you will be able to form and manage your own tech team to further develop IDEX’s software suite.

Responsibilities
* Interact with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, challenges and expectations - Ensure quality of deliverables to the satisfaction of the customer and end user expectation
- Collaborate with the product team to implement robust, high performance, data-driven web applications
- Architect web applications from the ground up, with a focus on extensibility and scalability
- Provide insight into modernizing legacy platforms to the latest and greatest technologies
- Solve complex problems with innovative and elegant design and delivery
- Integrate third party technology into the IDEX tech stack, or vice versa
- Enforce coding standards and set a high standard for code quality
- Participate in the hiring process for new software engineers, manage them, and help them grow their skills and career
Requirements
- At least 5 years of demonstrable experience building front and back end web applications
- At least 3 years experience leading a tech team of at least 10 people
- Experienced with SaaS development
- Expert knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, React, HTML5, and CSS3
- Experienced with AWS, as well as general DevOps and DBA responsibilities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining open lines of communication with others across the organization
- Ability to accept feedback and constructive criticism positively
- Full professional proficiency of English language skills, Chinese is a plus but not a must
- Inspired by the startup environment where a sense of initiative is key
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, or another relevant field required (unless can show significant working experience (10+ years))
