You’ll work with Jetcake clients to build beautiful, usable web interfaces. This is a remote-only position. The projects will vary. You might find yourself building a web interface from scratch as the only engineer, or coding specific features while working in a team of developers, or be tasked with refactoring an existing high-traffic website using more modern technologies. What will be constant is the ability to do meaningful work with interesting companies.
We’ve built and led product development teams at Hotwire, Expedia, OneKingsLane, Jigsaw (acquired by Salesforce), Lyft, among others. Responsibilities
- Translate UX/UI designs into code
- Provide feedback on technical feasibility of UX/UI designs
- Estimate timelines for implementation
- Conduct comprehensive cross-browser testing of the features you develop
- Participate in software engineering processes such as daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, design reviews, and code reviews
- Regularly communicate progress and blockers
Requirements
- A high standard for quality of code and quality of user experience
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript
- Expertise in a modern framework such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Experience stubbing out back-end API calls in order to test front-end features
- The ability to think through customer requirements to come up with the most effective way to quickly solve their problems
