Our job is to collect, match, categorize, and analyze data on 20+ million products from the websites of all the largest retailers and marketplaces in the world. We help our customers be more competitive and make more money by discovering interesting patterns in this data they can use to their advantage.
We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager and technical lead to drive execution and innovation within the team that develops our proprietary website extraction technology. If you love working on really hard problems, mentoring sharp engineers, and writing clean code, you will love this role. The right leader will have a passion for optimization, scaling, and big data.
Responsibilities:
Think like our customers – you will be the engineering thought leader and partner for the product owner responsible for our online data collection platform

Must Haves:
10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years managing a software team and professional experience working with Java
Proficiency with architecting and delivering solutions within a distributed software platform
Solid understanding of AWS, Linux and infrastructure concepts
Strong RDBMS & SQL programming experience
Proven ability to learn quickly, make pragmatic decisions, and adapt to changing business needs
Proven ability to work and effectively, prioritize and organize your work and the work of team members in a highly dynamic environment
Track record of lifting and challenging teammates to higher levels of achievement
Focus on results: shipping software that matters to the company and the customer
Experience measuring, driving and improving the software engineering process
Experience overcoming the difficulties of managing projects with remote and global team members
Ability to maintain regular and reliable work attendance
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
