We have built our iOS application and are now building an Android version.You will be the sole engineer responsible for developing the Android product from conception tolaunch.We are looking for the person with the ambition, skills, and endurance necessary to create and implement a world-class mobile experience.This is as green field as it gets. You will be responsible for choosing your ideal development language (Kotlin or React Native) todirectlytranslate ouriOSdesigns andapplicationinto an Android product.
This is a 100% remote position.Although you are the sole developer on this product, you will be working closelywith product owners, our Lead iOS Developer and VP of Engineering.You will be joining a team ofhigh-energy engineers with exceptional integrity, transparent communication, and high standards.
What you’ll be doing:
Design, develop, andimplement featureswithinclient-sideapps(Android)
Consistently writereadable,performant,scalable, and secure code
Deliverreliablesoftware that’son time, well-tested, and maintainable
Hooking the clientsup toourRESTfulAPIservices
Continue to develop our UX and build beautiful functionality
Peer code review andfollowstandard development methodologies
What we require:
Outstanding knowledge ofKotlinand/orReact Native,anduseofRESTful API services
At least 3 years of development experience at a senior level
Highcomfortabilitywith Git
Experience with handling various types of media (variable audio/video streaming) and/or big data
Experience developing for highly available, horizontally scalable services
A deep understanding of the Android native platform
A keen eye for designs being translated from iOS to Android
S. degree orequivalent education
Excellent English writing and communication skills
Legal right to work in the US
