The Role
We are looking for a passionate full-stack developer who is proficient with JavaScript. You will be involved from conception to completion with various user-facing features across our product. We follow Scrum lightly with somewhat flexible 2-week sprints. We follow feature branch workflow and use Jira, Bitbucket, and Slack to get things done. We review each other’s code and run automated tests as a part of our CI pipeline. No daily standups.
What You’ll Do
As a full-stack developer in the company, your key responsibilities will be to:
  • Develop new user-facing features using Ember and Nodejs
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
Who You Are
Technical requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience as a developer at 1-3 software companies before
  • JavaScript development skills with frameworks such as Ember/React/Vue/Angular
  • Familiarity with modern pipelines and development tools (npm & git)
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great googling skills to figure out stuff on your own
Other competencies
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Ability to work independently
  • Pro-active with a ‘default to action’ attitude (vs. inaction)
  • A quick study, passionate about learning new technologies
Bonus if you have
  • Empathy, UX understanding
  • UI design skills
  • Know your way around AWS/Kubernetes
