xTV is a well-funded start-up with some really cool technology located in the Redwood Shores area. We’re seeking passionate, experienced iOS or Android UI developers to create rich digital media apps on tablets and smart-phones based on the xTV streaming API’s.

Responsibilities -Build iOS / Android apps from the ground up -Write Functional specifications in response to product requirements documents -Integrate UI designs from designers -Lead and maintain UI standards and best-practices for mobile experience -Work with the product team to help define/refine and evolve the platform -Take end-to-end responsibility for development, test, deployment into Google Play or iTunes stores

Skills Required 1) Must have excellent written English and verbal skills 2) Expert Native iOS or Android APP developer – in C, Objective-C, C++, other languages are bonus 3) Released at least one commercial native APP in the iTunes or Google Play store in English as the primary developer 4) Minimum 2 years developing iOS or Android applications for commercial use 5) Professional experience in media and streaming media, YouTube, Vimeo or equivalent 6) Should be able to create graphics in Photoshop 7) Must be able to come to the HQ for 2-4 weeks training

You should be an expert developing UI’s on mobile devices, aesthetics, use-cases and best-practices. An intermediate knowledge of video streaming, digital media, familiarity with YouTube Syncing and API or similar is a plus.

Familiarity with CDN’s, Content Management Systems, metadata, photos, video streaming required. Should have a demonstrable commercial development background, be meticulous, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should have proficiency in HTML5/CSS and JS, REST API’s, Angular, Bootstrap, JQuery, Node, cloud services such as AWS and Azure. Experience with push services, https://socket.io, Strongloop, MongoDB, internationalization, payment systems are a plus.
