My client is an early-stage startup, based in West London, working hard to change the face of the life insurance industry. They are supported by the most trusted names in insurance and are on a mission to simplify life insurance, wills etc in an easy to use intuitive platform built on Go.

They have asked me to find an experienced engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can help them build and scale their platform and products. They are planning some ambitious greenfield projects in the new year so it is going to be an exciting time for their development team.

You will be one of the first hires of the company and working closely with our CTO and the co-founding team. Since they are an early-stage startup, you will have more responsibilities than in a regular role and play a large part in shaping the next features of the application.

Their current stack consists of Go, Docker + Kubernetes (GCP), ReactJS with TypeScript, GraphQL, gRPC and PostgreSQL

_You must have :_

– 3 years of back-end development experience in Go
– 5 years+ software engineering experience
– Excellent knowledge of programming best-practice, and an obsession with tidy code
– A strong communicator, self-starter and problem solver
– Willingness to learn new technologies

_Nice to have_

– Experience with cross-platform mobile app frameworks (e.g. React Native,Flutter)
– Experience using Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, Helm, Terraform, Postman, Gitlab ,CI, microservices architecture
