Pixwel is hiring a Front End Developer, dedicated to software development and emerging technology, to become part of our team and help build our platform.

This is a great role for you if you are passionate about entertainment and technology, and interested in redefining the future of entertainment marketing and localization.

About The Company

We have been running a profitable platform since 2013 and do not have any investors. We are experts at video post-production and software engineering. Marrying the two, is our secret sauce.

About The Team

We are a very small team. There’s lots of room to make big waves! Currently we have 3 engineers:

  • Manager / Infrastructure / Backend / Frontend
  • Front End Developer
  • Front End Developer + Designer

About The Software

  • React (REST, GraphQL, Redux, react-query)
  • AngularJS

Responsibilities

  • Reading, writing, and reviewing application code, with a focus on writing maintainable code that is easy to understand
  • Collaborating with product teams to define and implement new features
  • Communicating persuasively with peers to inspire cooperation
  • Making well-reasoned decisions that inspire and energize others
  • Documenting the systems you help build
  • Building scalable and highly available systems that follow operational best practices
  • Building observable systems that we can learn from and we can continuously improve
  • Working with support to triage and debug support requests

Requirements

  • Passion for UX and Design
  • 5+ years expert experience with Javascript, front-end frameworks like React and Angular, and expert knowledge of both FP and OOP paradigms
  • You take pride in writing tests for all of your code
  • Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, HTTP and REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Experience building single page applications
  • Passionate about fostering good engineering practices and processes
  • Strong customer focus and data-driven approach
  • You show humility when you are right and have the confidence to admit mistakes
  • Experience effectively contributing to technical strategy and roadmaps
  • Excellent analytical skills as well as both verbal and written communication skills. We’re a distributed team so strong communication is critical.
  • Passionate about mentoring and helping their peers, both inside and outside of their team, to grow
