In this role, you’ll be tasked with designing and producing graphic elements within our Video & Editorial team. We need a designer who thrives on modern storytelling and understands how to craft compelling visual narratives for today’s social media landscape. You will be responsible for creating graphic elements for content, marketing, and sponsorships on Fast Channel, Social Media, and Television platforms. You’ll work closely with both external and internal clients to produce a product that provides an awesome experience for our Television and Social Media users, Sponsorship clients, and Corporate and Marketing Teams.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Motion Graphics Designer with a great design eye to join our dynamic Video & Editorial team. We need a "creator minded" designer who is preferably already making their own content and brings a fresh, contemporary approach to the table. In this role, you will help refine our visual storytelling while playing a key part in how our brand comes to life through short-form social content, strategic partnerships, and marketing initiatives.
You will bring fresh perspectives and ideas to every project, conceptualizing, creating, and developing new and innovative graphic elements to be put on our various platforms. We are primarily an Adobe Creative Cloud shop, but we are looking for someone who is eager to push the boundaries of digital content creation.
Content Creation & Storyboarding: You will conceptualize, create and develop new and innovative graphic elements that are on brand. You have the ability to storyboard design concepts and translate ideas into compelling visual stories.
Audience-First Design: You know what our viewers want! You will create animations that will appeal to our target demographics across digital, social, and television. You understand native formats, pacing, and visual trends including for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Collaborative Execution: Collaborate and coordinate with other team members in design, marketing, production and digital products. Assess the needs of both internal and external clients when completing all projects.
Timely Delivery: Ensure all milestones are met and projects are completed within the allotted time frame, ensuring your work is on point and ready for presentation.
Process Improvement: Assist in the improvement and adaptation of existing processes for greater efficiency and improved quality within the Graphics department.
Industry Pulse: Research industry trends, platform algorithms, and best practices so you’re always one step ahead in the fast-paced world of social media content.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in motion graphics, digital media, or content creation (A college diploma in Graphic Design, Animation, or New Media is an asset).
Portfolio: A standout demo reel or digital portfolio showcasing contemporary motion graphics, strong visual storytelling, a great design eye, and social media-focused content.
Contemporary Tooling: Excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, specifically After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator as our core tools.
Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of modern video editing, post-production workflows, and social media platform specifications. Familiarity with modern collaborative design tools like Figma or Canva is a strong asset.
Emerging Technologies (Bonus): A strong interest or hands-on experience with emerging professional AI generation platforms (such as Runway ML, ArtCraft, Higgsfield, Midjourney, etc.) is a major plus.
You are a true creator: You are already creating your own content, deeply understand the nuances of social platforms, and possess strong creative and artistic skills.
You are a self-starter: You love to take initiative and bring fresh perspectives to the team.
You are all about the details: Your design eye is impeccable, and you are super organized.
