Responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining project schedules, and ensuring that project schedules stay on time while addressing constraints.
- Hardware and firmware development of electronic consumer products- from concept to manufacturing
- Actively engage management & facilitate with external hardware/software provider
- Support internal design, engineering, prototyping and validation activities for mobile technologies as the Lead Engineer.
- Provide critical thinking and engineering support for technology programs/projects, including electronics function, sensors, location based services and system design.
- Have a clear understanding of BlueTooth, WiFi, GPS, GSM and other Location technology and testing.
- Power optimization SKILLS & EXPERIENCE The successful candidate will have the following experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated experience in product development focused project management.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as achieve goals in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
- Solid Knowledge in Engineering Process, Manufacturing process and DFM.
- Practical experience in development of mobile devices & peripherals with wireless technology including circuit design.
- Experience with C/C++ in MCU IDE, in addition to embedded Linux or Real Time OS
- Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis technique, and integration of wireless antenna into mechanical enclosures
- Proficiency in written & spoken English is a must
