DevOps is critical for championing sustained growth at Telnyx. The Lead DevOps Engineer will have a passion for problem solving, troubleshooting production systems, and improving performance.

As the Lead DevOps Engineer, you will architect, build, scale, and maintain automated tools & frameworks that support multiple business functions. You will work closely with the operations team to take ownership of streamlining deployment processes and tools. You will be responsible for planning handoffs from Engineering to Operations and shepherding projects through that transition.

What we’re looking for: • Expertise driving large infrastructure improvements. • Expertise supporting and improving server resources and infrastructure. • Experience with virtualization (xen) and cloud-based environments. • Experience with server infrastructure technologies and deployment tools (chef, docker, etc). • Experience working with a CI development/deployment lifecycle. • Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Cacti, etc. • Experience logging large amounts of network data (using tools such as elasticsearch, logstash, kibana, etc.). • Strong Linux and scripting skills (bash + python or ruby). • Proven track record of shipping projects.

What’s nice to have: • Experience building DevOps metrics and reporting. • Track record of facilitating cooperation between technology and operations. • 5+ years of Ops experience. • Proficiency with ruby, perl, bash, etc..
