**YOUR MISSION**
Zero44 is a B2B SaaS startup building digital tools for the shipping industry. Our goal is to reduce their carbon footprint and help the industry achieve carbon zero by 2050.

Following a successful first year, strong interest across the industry, and new investment, we’re expanding our team and broadening our product features.

If you’re passionate about protecting the planet and helping a fascinating, centuries-old industry transition to carbon zero by creating outstanding digital tools, this could be the right opportunity for you.

In this role, you’ll be the point where our product team and technical team come together to deliver a high-quality outcome. You’ll collaboratively lead the full product development process, from design and development through deployment and ongoing maintenance.

We’re still early-stage, so our tech stack is evolving quickly. We’re looking for someone who sees this as a chance to make a real impact.

**Our current tech stack**
– Ruby, Rails, and Sorbet for the backend API
– Sidekiq for background processing
– Postgres as the database
– Terraform to manage infrastructure
– TypeScript, TailwindCSS, and React for the frontend

**YOUR PROFILE**
As a frontend engineer, you’ll build product features from initial idea through to fully working functionality.
– You’ve previously built complex, feature-rich web applications using end-to-end JavaScript/TypeScript.
– You have a proven track record of designing and developing interfaces that stand the test of time.
– You care about UI quality and understand UI development as a discipline.
– You’re comfortable making technical decisions in the fast-paced, constantly changing environment of a startup.
– You can hand off effectively from designers and design tools (e.g., Figma).

– You can work independently while also collaborating well with others.
– You understand the value of keeping things simple and flexible.
– You speak fluent English and communicate exceptionally well.
– You have a good sense of humour and are a great team player.
