The Challenge
The Corporate Strategy Director is part of the CFO organization, reporting into the Senior Director, Corporate Strategy. This role supports strategic planning, corporate development (M&A), and business transformation as OneTrust prepares to operate as a public company. The position focuses on overseeing OneTrust’s strategic planning process and corporate development strategy.
The Corporate Strategy function was created to drive execution with measurable results, aligned to OneTrust’s strategic plan. It is responsible for providing clarity and expertise—setting sequencing and trade-offs, recommending the best capital allocation options, and ensuring Executive Team oversight of all major cross-functional initiatives.
Your Mission
– Lead the strategic planning cycle in partnership with Corporate Finance to support the executive team in developing OneTrust’s annual strategic plan and in-year updates.
– Continuously improve OneTrust’s execution tracking framework to strengthen accountability for business priorities, help leadership stay focused on what matters most, and enable timely course corrections.
– Provide essential support to the strategic planning process through qualitative and quantitative analyses—such as competitive landscape and industry assessments—to uncover growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions. Prepare detailed analyses of industry segments, key trends, and competitive dynamics.
– Develop and formalize a build/buy/partner strategy and prioritization in partnership with product strategy teams.
– Partner with business leaders, People, and Corporate Communications to cascade the plan across all levels of the organization.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create strategic initiatives that drive growth and value for OneTrust, using analytical skills and industry expertise aligned with the company’s goals and vision.
– Identify potential partnership and M&A opportunities by generating high-quality ideas and screening them for executive review, enabling OneTrust to make value-creating strategic investments.
– Create management reports and board presentations that deliver clear, concise insights to support effective communication and decision-making across the organization.
You Are
– 8–10 years of consulting experience leading work at a consulting firm.
– Proven experience with strategic planning practices.
– A master’s degree is required.
– Experience in the SaaS industry and Technology is a plus.
– Demonstrated experience in a corporate environment and on large-scale strategic projects.
– A “business athlete”: intellectually curious, energized by solving complex problems, able to perform in a wide range of situations, and approaches work with humility and integrity.

– Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail.
– Ability to manage multiple priorities and arbitrate between competing demands, with clear goal-setting and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent communication skills, including the ability to build rapport and trust with reporting teams, stakeholders, and executives, and to influence others.
Extra Impressive
– Knowledge of the privacy & security SaaS industry.
– Strong analytical skills, including the ability to conduct rigorous financial and valuation analyses and work with key operational metrics. Familiarity with accounting principles is a plus.
– Deal experience (buy-side or sell-side M&A, IPO, etc.).
$60,000 — $90,000/year
