The Care Insights teams are helping transform healthcare analytics. Our goal is to enable skilled nursing organizations to use industry data and PointClickCare data to understand their position within their network, highlight their strengths, and grow market share. We provide visibility into clinical, financial, and operational metrics to enhance patient care, improve quality, and increase reimbursement.
About the role
When you join our team, you’ll become part of a small but energetic group focused on delivering a tangible impact on the healthcare industry. You’ll work with advanced technology that directly supports patient well-being and helps healthcare professionals provide the best possible care.
Key responsibilities
– Identify, prioritize, and complete tasks across the software development life cycle
– Partner with business teams to refine software requirements
– Build tools and applications by writing clean, efficient code
– Automate tasks using appropriate tools and scripts
– Analyze and troubleshoot systems
– Conduct validation and verification testing using a test-driven approach
– Review others’ work and encourage peer reviews of your work
– Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to fix and improve products
– Keep software current with the latest technologies
Your key strengths
– Experience writing clean, high-performing Java code at scale
– Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured)
– Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL)
– Solid experience building RESTful API endpoints and a strong interest in TDD, with working knowledge of it
– Experience with UI development and frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React, Angular)
– Proficiency with Git
– Experience using system and performance monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog)
– BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related field
Bonus skills
– Experience with Spring Boot
– Experience with Power BI
– Familiarity with React, Selenium automation, and cloud technologies (preferred)
– Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio
– Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
– Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud services (or equivalent)
– Experience working on SaaS products

$111,000 – $119,000 per year
At PointClickCare, base salary is one part of our overall total rewards package. The CAD base salary range for this position is $111,000–$119,000 (not eligible for overtime) plus bonus and benefits. Pay ranges are based on job role and level, and the range shown reflects the target salary for new hires across all CAD locations. Individual compensation within the range depends on job-related skills and knowledge, relevant experience (including both professional and lived experience), and/or work location.
