Piton Labs is hiring a full-time Senior Software Engineer. We’re looking for someone who can work across different parts of the system, with a strong focus on backend development. Candidates with solid cloud architecture experience are preferred. Prior experience in startups—either by running a personal project or working at an early-stage company—is a plus. We strongly prefer candidates based between GMT‑8 (US West Coast) and GMT‑3, though other cases may be considered individually.

## Responsibilities and Technologies
At Piton Labs, you’ll work with both startups and larger organizations to tackle their toughest technical challenges. You’ll deal with the ambiguity and complexity inherent in building software—helping clients not only build products, but also clarify what should be built. Rather than just carrying out predefined tasks, you’ll contribute to setting priorities and focusing on the most valuable problems for our clients.

We’re not tied to a single technology stack, but most of our projects use TypeScript, React, and Go. We often use AWS for cloud infrastructure, though some clients prefer other providers. You should have at least five years of experience working with a major web application stack, relational databases, and modern frontend interface technologies. Experience with our preferred tools is helpful, but not required. You must be able to deliver consistently reliable, well-tested code.

Your weekly responsibilities may include:
– Building rich web or mobile interfaces
– Designing and implementing a serverless API layer for a new web product
– Designing and provisioning cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools
– Presenting new features to the client’s stakeholders
