This is a position for a part contract, part commission business developer or sales partner with deep relationships among fast moving consumer goods companies (FMCGs) like Unilever, P&G, GSK, Nestle, SAB Miller, or similarly situated companies with a significant presence in emerging markets. In particular, we are looking for a partner with the requisite skills and relationships to assist in a go-to market strategy, sales introductions, and potential client engagement with national directors or other key decision makers (rather than CIOs or IT teams).
A good partner specifically would have significant experience working with and relationships among the top FMCG companies in a designated region or sub-sector, understands their business intelligence needs, has a proven track record of being able to deliver on those relationships and that knowledge. An appreciation for the dominant BI and asset tracking tools used by those businesses is a strong plus.
As a bootstrapped startup, we are focused on delivering value in weeks rather than catering to 4-6 month+ sales cycles. Such a relationship would entail establishing a small startup fee ($2-4k) with contingencies, followed by a 6-month commission structure for sales established through those relationships, including a $200k ceiling. The primary form of payout is in the form of commissions through direct sales through relationships established.Preliminary introductions expected within 2 weeks of initial engagement.
