We are looking for an experienced UX designer who can join our team full-time / part-time. Preferably in Waterloo, Canada.
The designer’s main role would be:
Actively engage with our product team and put UX the focal point of all key decisions.
Enhance On-boarding: Improve the on-boarding of our product so that it leads to higher %conversions from Download to Active, this could be by placing better user-guides or walk-throughs, etc..Reduce the setup time of app (presently user needs to connect with Cloud and Computer to start using AirStream). Figure out ways so that user starts using in less than 10 seconds
Simplify: AirStream involves connecting multiple cloud services and multiple devices. Suggest ideas and work around to keep simplifying our app, so that any one can start using it.
Optimize Engagement features: How can we build engagement features without obstructing the user-experience. eg. how do we use notifications to drive engagement.
Do weekly product review meetings to review the user-experience part of our product and suggest necessary steps. Play a key role in our product roadmap decisions.
Coordinate with our Graphic Designer and review his work. Suggest best color combinations that work.
Engage with our users and understand their problems and needs. Suggest steps regarding the same with our product team
Ensure we speak same Design Language through our app, website, appstore listing and even Social Media.
What we are looking for:
- Prior experience in designing mobile apps
- Good color sense. Hands on with Photoshop, Illustrator
- Decent communication skills
- Team player
