Wholeshare is hiring a community manager and social media marketer to help build and cultivate our growing community of shoppers. You’re responsibilities will include: connecting with our active user base on Facebook, driving customer growth and brand awareness through our social media presences and attending events and conferences to spread the word about Wholeshare. You should have experience building online communities via social media and bonus points if you’re passionate about food justice issues. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a small, agile team and drive strategy for our social media presence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive customer acquisition, brand awareness, user retention and sales growth via social media
  • Manage multiple online presences (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, mailing list)
  • Engage with current and prospective users to encourage a healthy and active online user community
  • Create rich and engaging content to distribute via online channels
  • Support new and prospective customers both online, in person and on the phone Qualifications / Experience
  • Experience in community management and/or social media marketing *Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Experience developing, nurturing and growing online user communities *Friendly, outgoing outlook. Must be comfortable engaging with our user community through online and offline channels. *Experience producing high-quality, relevant and highly-shareable visual and written content for distribution via social media channels *Bonus points for having worked on food or lifestyle brands Company Culture *Passionate about food and food issues *Excited to solve daily problems for people across many demographics/socioeconomics *Committed to data-driven analysis and decision making *Encouraging of open and creative thinking

Salary and compensation

$50,000 — $75,000/year
