"How does Picatic Tick?"

We are a polyglot company and try to use the right tool for the job. We find team diversity helps bring alternate ideas and approaches to light. We like to consider our options as team and make decisions based on long term value to our customers and company. Our own mix of lean startup helps guide our decisions as a team and company.

Our current stack is a blend of PHP, NodeJS, AngularJS, Docker and various supplementary languages. We know that parts of our system are legacy, but we have open conversations about how we plan to replace them and move forward. For example: The team has been discussing the benefits of rewriting parts of our stack in Golang or a similar language.

Over the last year we have been making a transition to a "Service Oriented Architecture" which has allowed us to consider solutions we previously had not considered. A wide new range of ideas our platform can support are opening up to us, it is truly an exciting time at Picatic.

We value experience in all areas in technology/business/startup/life; but of course, it is always nice to have experience in the technologies we presently use. We encourage all applicants to apply if they feel they can contribute and are willing to learn.
